Position Title: Okta Systems Administrator

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Okta Systems Administrator to support our government contract operations by managing and enhancing our identity and access management systems. This role requires advanced expertise in Okta administration, including authentication policies, security configurations, application integrations, automations, and the Okta workflow console. Proficiency in Okta Expression Language is highly desirable to ensure seamless customization and system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Okta Administration and Management:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Okta platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop, implement, and maintain authentication and authorization policies to secure sensitive government contract environments.
- Configure and manage Okta security settings, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) policies and access controls.
2. Application Integrations:
- Integrate and manage applications within the Okta platform, ensuring secure and efficient single Collaborate with application owners to configure custom integrations and troubleshoot issues.
- • Maintain documentation for application integrations and system configurations.
3. Automation and Workflow Management:
- Utilize the Okta workflow console to automate identity lifecycle processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Design and implement automations to enhance user onboarding, offboarding, and provisioning workflows.
- Continuously optimize workflows for efficiency and scalability.
4. Expression Language and Customization:
- Leverage Okta Expression Language to customize rules, attributes, and policies to meet organizational needs.
- Develop and maintain scripts for complex attribute mappings and transformations.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for issues involving custom expressions and configurations.
5. Security and Compliance:
- Ensure the Okta environment complies with all relevant government regulations, including NIST and CMMC standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Stay current with Okta updates and emerging identity and access management (IAM) best practices.
6. Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with IT, security, and development teams to align Okta configurations with organizational requirements.
- Provide Tier 3 support for Okta-related issues and escalations.
- Train and mentor junior staff on Okta administration and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Okta administration in an enterprise environment.
- Expertise in managing authentication policies, application integrations, and workflow automations.
- Proven experience with Okta Expression Language and its application in real-world scenarios.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of identity and access management principles.
- Proficient in Okta administration tools, security settings, and workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Okta certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator, Okta Certified Consultant).
- Experience in a government contracting environment or with compliance frameworks such as NIST or CMMC.
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and hybrid identity solutions.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for enhanced automation.
